About the role
Our Engineering Technician role will assume overall responsibility for all mechanical activities ongoing within our workshop. For many of our projects the assembly stage is the most critical and under significant timing pressure. Engaging regularly with the rest of the engineering team to obtain their drawing and assembly instructions to convert into functioning reliable machines is the main focus of the role.
Whilst being responsible for the build quality of all equipment leaving Electrified the role will also assume overall responsibility of the mechanical assembly areas of the workshop ensuring the condition of the equipment and its tidiness is up to standard whilst striving to constantly improve the environment.
Ideally you will have obtained a level 3 qualification or equivalent in mechanical engineering or a similar discipline with experience operating in an engineering and workshop environment. You will be a competent user of Microsoft software and excited to take ownership of a department presenting your own ideas that can be turned into reality.
Your experience will have provided you with practical experience in a workshop meaning you’re comfortable using hand tools, manual CNC equipment and following engineering drawings.
