About the role
Taking ownership of the testing and validation department controlling automated dynos whilst submitting test plans and reports in a pressurised environment represents the core elements of this role. Working directly with our customers to evaluate a broad range of electric motor typologies whilst supporting with building prototype motors and rigs liaising with the engineers to provide feedback on the designs is also required.
You will be tasked to design and implement tests on various parts and motors, analysing data to provide reports on performance and durability. The range of testing will cover elements of mechanical structural testing through to running an automated drive cycle on a dyno monitoring many aspects of a motors performance. You will be engaging with our customers to confirm their testing requirements and discuss any reports submitted with them.
Ideally you will have obtained a level 3 qualification or equivalent in mechanical engineering or a similar discipline with experience operating in an engineering and workshop environment. You will take a methodical approach to data acquisition and data analysis, be a competent user of Microsoft software and have the desire to learn our bespoke software controlling the test equipment.
Your experience will have provided you with practical experience in a workshop meaning you’re comfortable using hand tools. An understanding of testing processes and reporting is also required.
